HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING 1A-43

m otor and wheels into the lo w e r half of case, placing

the  foam   rubber  mounting  strip   around  the  m otor.
In stall  the  m otor  clam p  and  in stall  the  screw .  R o
tate  the  b low er  w heels  and  determ ine  i f   in terferen ce
ex ists.

In terferen ce can be c o rre c te d by m oving the

m otor sligh tly in its mount o r by changing the wheel
location on the m otor shaft.

Install the lo w e r case

to the upper case and connect the m otor ground w ire .

Expansion V a lv e —Install the expansion valve and

connect  the  inlet  and  outlet  lin es  using  new  "O "
rin gs  coated  with  clean  re fr ig e r a tio n   o il.  Install  the
expansion  va lve  clamp  and  the  c a p illa ry   bulb  clam ps,

making sure that the bulb has good contact with the
co re outlet line.

Install the co re outlet line c o v e r,

making sure that the foam rubber strip is c o r r e c tly
installed.

E vaporator  C o r e —Add  3  oz.  of  clean  r e frig e ra tio n
o il  to  the  new  co re  and  connect  the  inlet  and  outlet
lin es  using  new  "O "  rin gs  coated with  clean  r e f r i g e r
ation  o il.

Install the upper case half to the co re and

install the case to core screw s.

Install the core

outlet line and expansion valve clam ps.

Install the

expansion va lve ca p illa ry bulb clam ps making sure

that the bulb makes good contact with the co re outlet
line.

Install the co re outlet line c o ver, making sure

that the foam rubber seal is positioned c o rre c tly .

2. R e v e rs e "R e m o v a l" Steps 3-9, using new " O " ring

seals coated with clean re frig e ra tio n o il, when con

necting re frig e ra n t lines.

3. Evacuate and charge system .

4. Connect battery ground cable.
5. P erfo rm a n ce test the system .
