2. P la c e the switch in position (connectors pointed

tow ard the duct) and in stall the switch mounting

screw s.

3. Install the a ir duct and switch assem bly into position,

making sure that the duct flange is fu lly in stalled in

the ro o f c o v e r retaining flange.

NOTE:

Be ca refu l not to damage the retaining

flan ges when rein sta llin g the duct.

If the duct

tr im strip cam e o ff at rem ova l, in stall it between
the fron t and in term ediate a ir ducts.

4. Install the knob onto the switch shaft.

5. Connect the b attery ground cable.

INTERMEDIATE DUCT (Fig. 4 9 )

Replacem ent

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Rem ove the dome lamp lens and bulb.

3. Rem ove the sealing strip s at each end o f the duct.
4. Squeeze the sides o f the duct togeth er and rem ove the

duct fro m its retaining flanges.

5. Rem ove the dome lamp screw s and rem ove the duct

fro m the veh icle.

6. To in stall, r e v e r s e "R e m o v a l" Steps 1-5, being

carefu l not to damage the retaining flanges when
rein stallin g the duct.

REAR DUCT (Fig. 4 9 )

T h is duct c o v e rs the b lo w er-eva p o ra to r assem bly and

connects to the interm ediate duct.

Replacement

1. Rem ove the sealing strip at the fo rw a rd edge o f the

duct.

2.  Rem ove  the  ro o f panel  trim   strip.
3.  R em ove  the  fiv e   screw s  securing  the  re a r   duct.
4.  R em ove  the  duct  fro m   the  retaining  flan ges  at  the

r e a r, side and front re ta in ers (in that o rd e r).

5. P r y the fe r r u le s out o f the drain tubes and disconnect

the drain tubes fro m the r e a r duct.

6. R em ove the duct assem bly.
7. T o in stall, re v e r s e "R e m o v a l" Steps 1-6.
