High Level Initialization of the Hard Drive.
1) Switch OFF power to the instrument.
2) Insert the 3.5" floppy disk #1 containing the application system software into the
floppy drive.
3) Switch ON power to the instrument.
4) You will see a
VX Ld 1.2 ....
display on the monitor as the operating system is
loaded from the disk to the CPU memory. Upon completion of loading you will see
the following display:
HFA II - i Installer - Rev C1.1
0. Format the hard disk
1. Start Installation
5) Select 0 to start the hard disk initialization. A Formatting the Hard Drive prompt
will be seen on the screen.
6) Upon completion of the formatting you will be returned to the following display:
HFA II - i Installer - Rev C1.1

WARNING:
ALL DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE LOST DURING
THIS PROCESS.
This function permits the service engineer to format and
initialize the hard disk drive. Performing this test destroys all
data on the hard disk drive (operating system, patient data,
printer type, setup data, calibration data and alter main menu
data). This function performs a high-level format of the hard
disk drive.
