Relevant parameters for single-ended inputs are V , V
and R .
ADC(ticks) =
4095 if 0 ≤ V ≤ V
ADC(ticks) = 0 if V < 0
ADC(ticks) = 4095 if V ≥ V
(Saturation)
V must be within a range of V
and V
, otherwise the device will be damaged.

4.1.6.2.2 Differential input
The differential inputs measure the voltage between two distinct inputs.
The signals are multiplied by -1 in the source side and compared by the drain to counteract the effect of
common mode noise. The advantages of a differential input is its wider input range, the possibility to
measure negative voltage and the robustness against common mode noise. Therefore, they show better
results in environments which are exposed to electromagnetic disturbances.
For differential inputs the values for V , V , V
and V are important, .
V = V - V
V =
V and V
are the voltages to GND
The ADC ticks are calculated by this formula:
ADC [ticks] =
if V
≤ V ≤ V
ADC [ticks] = 0 if V < V
ADC(ticks) = 4095 if V > V
