Stop resistance
If the power consumption of the drive motor differs from a stored value, the
knitting machine is stopped. The reason for a higher power consumption
may, for example, be a sticky needle.
2.5.3
Shock stop
In the case of a shock on the needle bed, e.g. in the case of needle
breakage, the piezo-electric shock stop switches off the knitting machine.
The piezo-electric shock stop is located below the needle beds.
2.5.4
Needle detector
The needle detector (1) checks the height of the fabric in the needle area.
Needle detector
If needles are defective (e.g. latch breakage), there is a danger of the fabric
not being taken down downward and gathering in the needle area. The
machine will then stop automatically to prevent from a major damage.
