Technical Description XXVI /
REVEN® RSC series
The RSC system comprises the following principal components:
- RSC sensor, delivers a signal between 0 and 10 V
- Power supply unit, supplies the sensors with smoothed direct voltage
ATTENTION:
➜
Please note that the RSC sensors are not comparable to common
humidity and temperature sensors. They are measuring transducers with
a control range that is particularly matched to the conditions in commercial
kitchens! As a rule, one power unit should be provided for each hood!
The most important benefit of RSC systems to the customer is that
the sensor is hardly noticeable.
After installation, only the sensor tip, a small metallic cylinder with a diameter of 14 mm and a
height of 17 mm, can be seen on the outside. No other modifications become apparent on the outer
hood! The sensor enclosure is protected according to IP 54 and located inside the hood canopy.
A cable box is fitted on the hood top. The sensors are connected to the supply unit and deliver
a signal between 0 and 10 V depending on the temperature and the relative air humidity.
The RSC 1 system delivers a control signal with a control voltage between 0 and 10 V
for the triggering of external devices such as a fan or a damper servomotor.
This means in practice:
Servomotors must be suitable for a continuous signal between 0 and 10 V.
Exhaust air fans (three-phase fans or AC fans without capacitor) must be controlled
via a frequency transformer by the customer or converted in such manner
that their speed becomes controllable via a signal between 0 and 10 V.
In general, the RSC output signal is suitable for each
control system that can process a 0 to 10 V signal.
