ATTENTION:
The direct action of heat on the tripping element of the fire-extinguishing system
must not be impeded by any kind of obstacles.

The objects to be protected*
must not be covered by built-in units or jigs and fixtures.
Spraying impediments
must be compensated by installing additional nozzles! You should inform the installer of
the system about any changes that might impede the distribution of the extinction agent.
Use the fire-extinguishing system only for the intended purpose. Clarify intended
changes of the operating conditions with the manufacturer beforehand.**
For example, the following changes are to be clarified:
- Replacement and/or relocation of a piece of equipment to be protected, especially if
its position in regard to the spraying cone of the extinguishing nozzle is to be changed.
- Subsequent fitting of protective plates
- Fitting of protective devices that might project
into the spraying area of the extinguishing nozzles.
The assembly and maintenance of the fire-extinguishing system are to be carried
out by Rentschler REVEN GmbH or by trained and certified personnel.***

The operating personnel are to be familiarised with the handling of the fire-extinguishing
system. Only specialised personnel are authorised to install, configure and commission the
fire-extinguishing system. Any kind of modification of the system is to be clarified with the
manufacturer in advance and to be carried out by authorised specialised personnel exclusively.**
All modifications carried out without prior notification of the manufacturer will cause

the exclusion of all claims of warranty and liability.
The tripping elements and the extinction-agent tank must be replaced after ten years at the latest.
We recommend ordering the components to be replaced approximately six weeks before the
10-years interval expires.***

The entire system is not under pressure in the untripped state
so that assembly work can be carried out without danger.
* Possible protected objects: frying and deep frying appliances, tilting frying pans, plates for frying, griddling and grilling,
extractor hoods with grease separators, exhaust ducts, wok stoves. If you want other equipment to be protected please
contact Rentschler REVEN GmbH or VdS Schadenverhütung
** If the system was accepted by VdS: clarify modifications with VdS Schadenverhütung.
***If the system was accepted by VdS: assembly, commissioning, maintenance and replacement of components
may only be carried out by installers certified by VdS for REVEN® Protect fire-extinguishing systems for kitchens.
