X-CYCLONE® aerosol separator
The extraction power, the efficiency and quality of the filters are of decisive importance for
air-handling systems. The efficiency of grease-separating in exhaust systems of kitchens
is very important to reduce grease deposits and keep cleaning work to the minimum. Rentschler
REVEN offers quite a number of different separators to provide perfect solutions for the great
variety of requirements in kitchens. Many years of research and development guarantee a high level
of quality and efficiency:

In energy-saving and air-inducing hoods, always X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators with the
dimensions 450 x 400 mm
are used. We recommend installing these separators over the entire
length of the filter row in order to ensure that the inflowing supply air is immediately captured by the
X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators.
In conventional extractor hoods, X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators
with the dimensions 450 x 400 mm
are used as a standard.
Special series are fitted with
X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators of the dimensions 450 x 300 mm.
In some cases, it is not
necessary to equip the entire filter row with X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators. You can also
install blank panels instead of a separator or filter. We recommend this solution for systems
with low exhaust air-flow rates to make sure that a sufficiently high air-flow velocity is achieved in
front of the X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators, which is necessary to ensure a high separating
rate. Therefore, it can be useful to fit blank panels instead of X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators.
X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators and blank panels can be fitted in a freely selectable order, so as
to ensure that

the separators are located immediately above the main emission sources.
Assembly of an X-CYCLONE®
aerosol separator:
Insert the separator in the
upper supporting frame.
Swivel the frame with the separator
into the exhaust chamber.
Lower the separator and
insert it in the frame support.
Disassembly of the X-CYCLONE®
aerosol separator:
Perform steps 1 to 3 in reverse order!
ATTENTION:
When installing several X-CYCLONE® aerosol separators, make sure

that all filter frames are next
to each other in order to avoid gaps between the filters through which unfiltered air could
escape subsequently.
