3.
Assemble the Fill Kit to a pressure source
with enough volume and containing a charge
mass large enough to fill the number of PowerGen engines that you plan to commission.
4. Tighten the regulator fitting with a 1 1/8” end-wrench or adjustable wrench.
5.
OPEN
the
source valve
on the helium bottle, so that the fill kit becomes pressurized. Open
the valve fully so that flow is not restricted.
WARNING:
Both pressure gauges must read the
same value. If they do not, then replace one or
both gauges until an accurate pressure
measurement can be determined through two
independent gauges.
NOTE
– The Digital pressure gauge uses an LCD
and will not function properly during exposure to
cold temperatures. Ensure that the fill kit dial
gauge is functioning prior to exposing the kit to
cold temperature.
WARNING: ENSURE
that the bottle contains
pressurized
HELIUM
of sufficient purity UN-1046,
Five 9’s helium. Color, size, and shape of the bottle
don’t matter – read the label! If the bottle is
unlabeled,
DON’T USE IT.
