Load-following description
– Load-following was introduced to help reduce gas consumption.
Load-following allows for the PowerGen to use less fuel when there is less power required
while still being able to meet peak power demand.
NOTE: Prior to commissioning the PowerGen please verify that the Qnergy Lynx, QEC
Load-following parameters are set-up correctly, per the customer electrical load.
Load-following control requires the following software:
• Qnergy Lynx v0.4.0 or greater.
• QEC Firmware v3.1.0 or greater.
• QEC3.5 hardware version (QEC serial number starts with a 5xxxxxxxx).
All load-following parameters will be changed in the “QEC Configuration for Load-Following”
section.

1. Set/Verify that the
Output Power Limit
is set to the correct setting. 5650 for PG5650, 1800 for
PG1800, 1200 for PG1200, and 600 for PG600 systems.

2. Determine the number of outputs (electrical hot-legs) being used. If you are using two
outputs continue to step 3, otherwise, skip to step 5.
3. If one electrical load is more critical than the other set that output to priority.
4. Disconnect any load from the low priority output.
5. Set the Minimum Engine Power to 600W and the Output Power Buffer to 200W.
6. Turn all loads off.
