6.2 Video Image
With the help of the video image you can position and focus the specimen exactly (see Chap. 7
on Page 51). If you don‘t see the video image, it is switched off.
To switch on the video image

In the WinFTM main menu select Video > Video on .

Adjusts the focus automatically, if the specimen‘s contrast is sufficient.
Measurement unit Displays the measurement unit for the crosshairs and the measurement spot.
Crosshairs To scale presentation of the crosshairs.

tion of the meas-
urement spot Displays the form and size of the actual measurement spot. Aperture shape
and size as well as the measurement distance are considered.
Brightness slide
control Changes the brightness of the video image.
Z-axis slide
control

Moves the Z-axis up or down. The more the slider is scrolled, the faster the
Z-axis moves.
Button for chang-
ing the color of
the crosshairs Changes the color of the crosshairs in order to optimize the contrast be-
tween specimen and crosshairs.
