configure auth mgmt-access tacacs-accounting primary [<ipaddress> |
<hostname>] {secondary [<ipaddress> | <hostname>]}
Description
Configures TACACS accounting servers for accounting management sessions.
Syntax Description
Default
Unconfigured. Uses RADIUS for authentication for management sessions. If RADIUS is not enabled,
servers are used. If neither RADIUS nor servers are configured, local
authentication is used.
Usage Guidelines
Use this command to authenticate all the management sessions through
servers. The server should be configured before using this command. This
command fails if the primary and secondary servers are not configured.
The following types of management sessions can be configured:
•
Telnet
•
SSH
•
Console
•
HTTP
If you are using authentication servers, you should only use accounting servers
for accounting management sessions. authentication servers should be configured before
configuring accounting servers for management sessions.
Example
In the following example, management sessions for both the primary and secondary servers are
configured for accounting:
configure auth mgmt-access tacacs-accounting primary 192.168.14.12 secondary
192.168.14.55

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 7.3.0 and ExtremeWare 7.3e.
primary
Configures the primary accounting server that is used for management sessions.
secondary
Configures the secondary accounting server that is used for management sessions.
ipaddress
The IP address of the primary and secondary accounting servers.
hostname
The host name of the primary and secondary accounting servers.
