Description
Displays configuration information about specified VLANs.
Syntax Description
Default
Summary information for all VLANs on the device.
Usage Guidelines
Unlike many other VLAN-related commands, the keyword
vlan
is required in all forms of this
command except when requesting information for a specific vlan.
Use the command
show vlan
to display summary information for all VLANs. It shows various
configuration options as a series of “flags” (see the example below). VLAN and protocol names may be
abbreviated in this display.
For the “i” Series Switches.
Use the command
show vlan detail
on “
i
” series switches to display
detailed information for all VLANs. This displays the same information as for an individual VLAN, but
shows every VLAN, one by one. After each VLAN information display you can elect to continue or
quit.
Protocol None in the output indicates that this VLAN was configured with a user-defined protocol that
has subsequently been deleted.
Use the command
show vlan stats <vlan name>
on “
i
” series switches to show real-time statistics
for the number of packets transmitted and received for the named VLAN. This command continues to
run until you cancel it using the [Esc] key.
Using the
detail
option of this command displays secondary IP addresses, which are displayed in the
line following the primary IP address output.
vlan-name
Specifies the name of the VLAN whose configuration is to be displayed.
detail
Specifies that detailed information should be displayed for each VLAN.
NOTE: This option is available only on the “i” series switches.
stats
Specifies a real-time display of utilization statistics (packets transmitted and
received) for a specific VLAN.
NOTE: This option is available only on the “i” series switches.
