Chain tension

The chain tension of the drives is to be

tested daily and adapted to the given use and

roadway conditions.

The chain sag should be 0-7mm (depending on

the use conditions) between the chain and the

framework of the drive, measured in the drive

middle.

After adjusting the chain tension, drive the

machine a few meters and check the sag again.

Elevated wear on chain parts and supports

due to chain tension that us too low or too high.

Note: special settings are available; pressure

range is 28-80bar.
