CO
2
display
On the Cockpit, the
CO
2
display consists of:
– CO
2
parameter field
– CO
2
waveform
The Cockpit supports a configurable parameter
field for display of CO
2
that allows one of the
following displays:
– CO
2
by itself (default)
– CO
2
with O
2
(only for gas analyzers with O
2
monitoring)
CO
2
parameter field
The default CO
2
parameter field displays the
current values for:
– Inspired CO
2
(inCO
2
) – the level of CO
2
in the
airway during inspiration phase.
– End-tidal CO
2
(etCO
2
) – the level of CO
2
in the
airway at the end of expiration.
– Respiratory Rate (RRc) – the patient’s
respiratory rate, derived from the etCO
2
signal.

B
etCO
2
value – highest level of CO

in the airway
during the expiratory phase within the
measurement interval
C
etCO

alarm limits (displays crossed triangle
symbol when etCO
2
alarms are turned off)
D

label
E
inCO
2
value – the level of CO
2
in the airway
during inspiration, taken as the minimum value
within the measurement interval
F
inCO

alarm upper limit (displays crossed
triangle symbol when the inCO
2
alarm is turned
off)
G
RRc
alarm limits (displays crossed triangle
symbol when RRc alarms are turned off)
