Start-up, control with I/O and ID run 27
Identification (ID) run
During Identification (ID) run the drive identifies the characteristics of the motor for
optimum motor control.
When the drive is started for the first time in vector control mode and after any
parameter is changed in the parameter group
, the drive automatically
performs the
ID run.
In most applications there is no need to perform a separate ID run. ID run needs to be
performed manually if:
• vector control mode is used (parameter
[0]), and
• drive operates near zero speed references, or
• operation at torque range above the motor nominal torque, over a wide speed
range is needed.
To perform the ID run manually, see
.
