Temperature Input Unit Functions
Section 11-5
Adjustment Procedure for the CRT1-TS04T
Adjustment Procedure
Use the following procedure to adjust the Temperature Input Units. Follow the
flowchart closely for proper adjustment.
Note
The only sensors that can be adjusted are ones that operate while the power
supply is ON. When adjusting for sensors that are not presently in use,
change the input type setting, toggle the power supply or reset the Unit from
the CX-Integrator, and perform the adjustment procedure from the beginning
of the flowchart.

Prepare the device that requires adjustment.
Connect the device that requires adjustment.
When performing upper/lower limit adjustment,
open end of the cold junction compensator to
disable it.
First
adjustment?
Turn ON the power to the associated system
devices. Wait at least 30 minutes for the CRT1-
TS04T’s internal temperature to stabilize.
This stabilization time is the time required
when the power is turned ON for the first time.
This step can be skipped when adjusting the
second and following inputs.
Refer to the Operating Manuals for the other
devices in the system for details on their
required stabilization times, if any.
Set the input's lower limit adjustment value.
Set the input's upper limit adjustment value.
Prepare to adjust the bias compensation.
Short the leads of the cold junction
compensator and wait at least 60 minutes for
the temperature to stabilize.
A cold junction compensator and
compensating conductor are required for the
thermocouple being adjusted.
Set the input's bias compensation.
Adjust other
inputs?
Test indication accuracy after adjustment.
