Connecting External I/O for Slave Units

Note
Wire colors have been changed according to revisions in the JIS
standards for photoelectric and proximity sensors. The colors in pa-
rentheses are the wire colors prior to the revisions.
Using Tyco Electronics or Sumitomo 3M Connectors

Confirm that the terminal number matches the wire color, and insert each
wire all the way into the opening on the cable connector cover.

Use a tool, such as a pliers, to push the cover straight in so that it is parallel
with the body.
Using OMRON Connectors

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to push the operation lever inside the connec-
tor's operation opening until it locks, as shown in the following diagram.

Insert the wire all the way to the back of the wire insertion opening. Check
that the sheath of the line is inserted into the wire insertion opening, and
that the end of the conductor has passed through the connection part.
3.
Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the reset opening and pull back the lever
lightly. A click will be heard and the operation lever will return to its normal
position.
