Chapter 10. Parts Information
This chapter contains parts information for the
Eserver
pSeries 670, which includes:
v 7040 Model 61R Rack Subsystem
v
7040 Model 671 Processor Subsystem
v 7040 Model 61D I/O Subsystem
The following 7040 FRUs each contain an IBM Manufacturing label with the machine type, model number,
and the serial number for the subsystem of which they are a part:

Unit Emergency Power Off (UEPO) Card Assembly 7040 Model 61R
v Processor Subsystem Chassis 7040 Model 681
v
I/O Subsystem Chassis 7040 Model 61D
If any of the these FRUs are replaced as a result of a repair action, service representatives are required to
order a duplicate replacement label from the Code A desk of their respective IBM manufacturing locations.
Service representatives will need to provide the Code A desk with label information from the FRU
scheduled to be replaced: Machine Type, Model Number, and Serial Number. The Code A desk will then
create and ship a bill of material that contains a replacement label and labeling instructions to affix the
duplicate labels on the replacement FRU.
