Setting group names and incoming/outgoing actions
Group Setting
You can change the group name of the FOMA terminal phonebook or UIM phonebook and set the ring
alert by group in the FOMA terminal phonebook.

, the group name cannot be changed nor deleted and the incoming/outgoing action cannot
be set.
Creating groups or editing group names

Other than

, up to 30 groups can be registered in the FOMA terminal phonebook.

For the UIM phonebook:

You can enter up to 20 one-byte or 10 two-byte characters for group names in the FOMA terminal
phonebook.

You cannot add or delete a group name in the UIM phonebook.

You can enter up to 21 one-byte or 10 two-byte characters for group names in the UIM phonebook.
Note that when both one-byte and two-byte characters or one-byte katakana are used, up to 10
characters can be registered.

Two-byte katakana and one-byte alphanumeric characters can be used to enter
the reading.

When both one-byte and two-byte characters are used, up to 12 characters can
be registered.

If you correct a name, the reading of the name will not be corrected automatically.
Group ： Select a group from

or 10 groups.

is set by default.
Phone number
： Enter the phone number including the area code. You can enter up to 26 digits (up to
20 digits depending on the UIM type).

Pause (P), “ ＋ ”, “ ＃ ” and sub-address delimiter ( ) can be registered. Timed pause
(T) can be entered but cannot be registered.
Mail address
： Up to 50 one-byte characters can be entered.
