If configuration errors prevent the filer from booting from the hard disk, try booting
from the diskette. For more information, see the section, “Booting from System Boot
Diskette,” in Chapter 18.

If your filer becomes inaccessible from the administration host after you change the
/etc/rc
file, perform the following steps to recover from the error:
1. Enter commands on the console to configure the interface with the correct
address.
2. Enter the
exportfs
command to export the filer root directory to the administra-
tion host.
3. Edit the filer
/etc/rc
file from the administration host.
4. Reboot the filer.
If the changes do not correct the problem, repeat Steps 1 through 4.
