STOP BEFORE
SUPPLY OFF:
If set to "YES", this control will cause the test to
fully stop
immediately before
a step which disconnects the AC supply from the DUT. ES601-US will prompt
the user to shut down the DUT and will not proceed until the user
acknowledges by pressing the
CONTINUE button. After CONTINUE is
pressed, ES601-US will then disconnect the AC supply from the DUT. This
feature accommodates equipment having special shutdown requirements, such
as diagnostic imaging equipment or equipment incorporating a PC.
BACK:
Returns to the previous menu (leakage test conditions or patient lead setup, as
appropriate).
NEXT:
Displays instructions for connecting the DUT to ES601-US. The instructions
displayed will depend on the safety standard. The example menu shown
following is for the AAMI-ES1 standard.
According to the CONNECTIONS menu, at minimum a AAMI safety test will require the user to connect
the DUT to the test receptacle and the Kelvin Cable of ES601-US to the enclosure of the DUT. The power
switch of the DUT must also be set to "ON" before the test is started. Depending on how the user has
chosen to set up the test via preceding menus, additional connections may be required between AP jacks on
ES601-US and DUT patient leads; between AUX1 of ES601-US and DUT signal I/O; and between AUX2
and exposed ungrounded metal on the DUT.
