6.1.5.5 The C Checkitem

The

C

Checkitem will cause ES601-US to transmit a remote control command to an external device, such as

a medical device analyzer or "tester", which ES601-US expects to be connected to the RS232 Tester Port
(#1 through #6) specified in the AutoSequence or Checklist setup.

The C Checkitem combines a command (data which will be transmitted to the external Tester), together
with a user prompt. The prompt is optional information which may be entered via the Checkitem Editor of
the AutoSequence or Checklist plug-in, to help you remember what the command does when you are
creating Tester AutoSequences and Checklists.

When ES601-US executes a C Checkitem, it will transmit the command via the Tester Port specified in the
AutoSequence or Checklist, and will wait for a response from the Tester. If a response is received, ES601-
US will record "OK" as the test result for that step and will automatically continue with the next step with
no intervention from the user. If a response is not received from the Tester after a 0.25 second timeout,
ES601-US will display the Checkitem's prompt on the LCD and will wait for the user to press one of the
touch screen keys provided, as shown in
