5.15 ECG Simulator
Output signals from the ECG simulator of ES601-US are available at the AP jacks located on the front
panel of the unit. Before using the simulator, connect the patient monitoring device under test to the
corresponding ECG signals at the AP jacks ("RA" for right arm etc.). The AP connections are safety-style
female banana jacks; an adapter plug is available to convert the AP jacks to ECG snap connections, if
required (P/N 7500-425).
The ECG MENU button on the MANUAL MODE menu accesses the submenu for manual operation of
the ECG simulator.
There are five main ECG simulator category selections in the manual operating mode. The five submenus
below the main menu provide eight waveforms within each category, as listed below.
