If the leakage test is paused, the keypad buttons will be changed to:

ESCAPE:

Aborts the sequence in progress and return to the MANUAL MODE menu. No
leakage results are copied to the temporary data buffer.

REPEAT:

Repeats the measurement for the test conditions listed at the top of the display.

CONTINUE:

Allows the sequence to proceed to the next measurement.

If a value exceeding either of the posted limits is obtained, the sequence is automatically stopped at that
measurement and an audible alarm is produced by ES601-US. In this case, the display will offer the same
functions described above.

For IEC60601 and AAMI-ES1 standards, AC supply conditions will be tested in the following order,
according to test conditions initially specified by the user on the leakage setup menu:

Reverse polarity; Neutral in single-fault condition (

RP:OPEN N.

At each configuration (1.)-(4.) of the AC supply, measurements of external and internal case leakage are
performed. Following these measurements, patient and lead-to-lead leakage will be measured if those tests
were enabled by the user on the setup menu.

When ES601-US changes the AC supply from neutral-open to normal condition, and if "STOP AFTER..."
of the Sequence Controls is "NO" (

Figure 34

), ES601-US will pause according to the "POWER-UP

DELAY" setting before proceeding to measure the leakage. This delay of 2 to 9 seconds allows the DUT to
startup up and stabilize before leakage readings are taken. Alternatively, if "STOP AFTER..." of the
Sequence Controls is "YES", ES601-US will change the AC supply from neutral-open to normal condition
and wait until you press the

CONTINUE
