Figure 73
shows factory default AutoSequences which will be seen on delivery of ES601-US. Default
AutoSequences may be modified or new AutoSequences created for other test instruments using the
Inspections and User Tester module of ES601pc-US software, included with the safety analyzer. See Chapter
8 for instructions on use of ES601pc-US software.
Individual menus for Tester AutoSequences operate similarly to menus described earlier in this chapter for
Safety and ECG AutoSequences. For example,
Figure 74
shows example AutoSequences which work with
the Datrend Infutest 2000 infusion pump tester.
As with all automated tests performed by ES601-US, selecting an AutoSequence from a menu such as
Figure 74
will cause the EQUIPMENT INFO menu to be displayed. A Control Number and other
equipment information may be optionally entered at this point. Press the
RUN TEST
button to start the
test. Power will be applied to the Test Receptacle at this point. Prompts for equipment physical inspection
may be displayed, according to System Settings. Refer to Section 6.1
AutoSequence Overview
for further details.
Tester AutoSequences differ from other automated tests of ES601-US in that a specific test instrument is
interfaced to ES601-US via an accessory cable connected to a TESTER PORT, thereby allowing ES601-US
to remotely control the external instrument and acquire the test results. Following optional prompts for
physical inspection, ES601-US will display a menu which allows the user to check the cable which connects
to the external instrument, via the
CHECK CONNECTION
button (see
Figure 75
). Pressing this button
will transmit a "
IDENT
" command from ES601-US to the test instrument, with the corresponding response
from the instrument being displayed immediately below the button. If necessary, settings for RS232 serial
data communications may be modified by other buttons on this menu, before initiating the test with the
RUN TEST
button.
