Note 3: Do not try to make a PIR zone act as a
Final Exit. Radio PIR detectors have a
“lock out” period after each activation in
order to conserve battery power. When
you set (or part set) the system a PIR
may still be in lockout, during which it
cannot send a signal to complete the
setting process.
Instant Set
The system sets immediately and without any
setting tone. The keypad(s) give confirmation
tone when the system is set.
Silent Set
The system sets after the time programmed in
the Entry/Exit Time menu but does not give
any exit tones. When the system sets the
keypad gives a double beep confirmation tone.
The keypad(s) give a double beep confirmation
tone at the end of all setting modes.
Lock Set
Lock Set exit mode affects both setting and
unsetting.
To use Lock Set exit mode you must provide a
Lock Set zone connected to a suitable lock on
the final exit door, and you must also provide a
Final Exit zone connected to the final exit door.
Setting:
To set the system a user must first
start the setting sequence using access code or
prox tag at a keypad, or by remote control.
The exit time is indefinite, and carries on until
the user closes the Final Exit door and then
operates a switch connected to a Lock Set zone
(see page 45), activating the zone. During exit
the control unit gives the exit tone for the
selected partition(s).
When the user activates the Lock Set zone the
control unit sets the system. The control unit
also starts the settle time (if specified, see
page 74) at the end of which any PIR zones
become armed.
In addition, the control unit:
Converts the Final Exit zone in the set
partition to a Normal Alarm zone.
Logs the activation of the Lock Set zone.
Unsetting:
If the system or partition is set
then when a user de-activates the Lock Set
zone, the control unit:
Logs the opening of the Lock Set zone
