In a partitioned system you can assign zones to any of the partitions. Except
for Fire and HUA zones, any zone can belong to one or more partitions. Fire
and HUA zones can only belong to one partition.
Note: If you assign a zone to more than one partition then that zone will only
be set when all the partitions it belongs to are set.
When delivered from the factory, or if you restore the control unit to factory
settings, then all zones default to type Not Used (NU). When you assign a zone
to a type other than NU the control unit initially assigns the zone to partition 1.
Once you have entered the Partitions menu, press
or
to scroll through the
list of partitions followed by
or
to assign/de-assign the zone to each
partition as necessary.
If you wish to assign/de-assign the zones to many partitions you can use the
―All Partitions‖ option (in between the first and last partitions on the menu) to
either assign or de-assign the zone to all partitions in one go, as follows:
1. Press
or
to show ―All Partitions‖ on the bottom line of the display.
2. Press
or
to change the last word on the bottom right of the display
to:
―Yes‖ to assign the zone to every partition.
―No‖ to de-assign the zone from every partition.
3. Press
or
to scroll through the partition list and change the
assignment of the zone as necessary.
Note that if you de-assign a zone from every partition and then try to leave the
menu by pressing
the control unit will display a warning and return you to
the Partitions menu. Any zone that is in use (has a type other than ―NU‖) must
be assigned to at least one partition.
Zone Attributes
Note: This menu does not appear if a zone has the type “Not Used”, “HUA”,
“Fire”, or “Keyswitch Momentary”.
You can assign more than one attribute to a zone. Some attributes are not
available for certain zone types. The display shows only the available attributes
for the zone type you select.
To enable an attribute for a zone press
or
until the bottom line of the
display shows ―Yes‖ at the right hand end.
Chime
When enabled by the user, the system gives a non-alarm warning tone
when any zones programmed as ‗Chime‘ are operated. This facility
operates only while the system is unset.
The following zone types can use this attribute: Normal Alarm, Final Exit,
Entry Route, Technical and Exit Terminate.
Soak Test
30 40 50 160
Use this zone attribute if you want to place under long term test a
detector that you suspect is giving false alarms. Zones with this attribute
