Louver Arm

GASOLINE VEHICLE - ENGINE

LOUVER ARM

The louver assembly is installed with the Kit Instruction TPCC040401EB019 ECH440 Engine Oil Dilution Prevention.

Move the louver arm (1) up or down to open or close the louver assembly.

The close position will increase the engine temperature faster.

Figure 20-1

Open

Set the louver arm to close for short trip operation.

Set the louver arm to open when:

• The vehicle continuously operates for 15 minutes or more.

• The vehicle is regularly operated multiple times a day.

• The vehicle has a heavy load.

• The vehicle is towing.

• The temperature is above 70°F (21°C).
