Hardware Description and Installation

3.1

Basic Unit

BinTec Communications AG offers you

X4000

in two variants:

■

Desktop unit for setting up in the office

■

Built-in unit for 19-inch cabinet

The

X4000

basic unit is not fitted with an expansion card in the ex works state.

The expansion slot provided for the expansion card at the rear of the equipment

is closed by a dummy cover. This dummy cover is unscrewed when the

expansion card is fitted. The slot is automatically covered by the backplane of

the expansion card when the card is fitted.
