Meaning
Route Type
Type of route. Possible values:

Host route: Route to a single host
■
Network route: Route to a network
■
Default route: Is only used if no other
suitable route is available.
Network
Defines the type of connection (LAN, WAN),

Table 7-23, page 179
.
Destination IP Address
IP address of the destination host or LAN.
Netmask
Netmask of the partner LAN (only possible for
Route Type =
Network route. If no entry is
made, the router uses a default netmask).
Partner / Interface
WAN partner (only possible for Network =
WAN without transit network).
Gateway IP Address
IP address of the host to which
X4000
should
forward the IP packets.
Metric
The lower the value, the higher the priority of
the route (range of values 1...14).
