Status Messages via LEDs
The three different types of LED used by the
X4000
basic unit for indicating
status messages and the meaning of the LEDs on the expansion cards are
given below.
3.4.1
Basic Unit
Power LED
The blue Power LED inside the BinTec logo on the front of
X4000
(see
Figure 3-
1, page 37
) lights as soon as
X4000
is supplied with power.
Illuminated
input keys
The display input keys illuminated during operation guide you through the MMI.

LEDs on the back of
X4000
One red and one green LED on the back of the
X4000
basic unit (see
Figure 3-
2, page 39
) indicate the general status of each of the individual interfaces.
If the green LED flashes or lights, this always means fault-free operation. If the
red LED flashes or lights, this indicates a fault.
You can obtain more detailed status information via the display, the Setup Tool
or an SNMP Management Tool.
