ESERVATION

You need to reserve ports for NOE phones. You should know the base port
configured on the server to reserve the port range.
In Alcatel call server, the base port, symbolized by BASE_PORT, is a system-wide
configuration value that defines the range of UDP ports occupied by signaling and
media flows. The base port is the smallest port number used within that range and
the range width is at most 1024.
Note:
Port reservation should always start from the base port.
(base port) to {base port + number of 1)*4}
If you do not know the number of phones, then you can use the range as (base
port to base port + 1024). Note that only 1024 ports can be reserved by using this
command. Even if you reserve more ports, they will remain unused, and while
configuring, CLI will throw an error for wrong port range. If you give wrong
address, then CLI will accept the command but ports may not be reserved for the
same. So only IP addresses from the Source NAT (SNAT) pool needs to be used
in this command. You can give the same command for multiple NAT pool IP
addresses.
Range should always have minimum four ports, else it does not make sense to
reserve ports. If SNAT fails to reserve the ports, then error will be thrown.
Note:
1. If the reserved NAT ports are deleted, then ALG will not remember any sub address
mapping.
2. Deletion of reserved NAT ports will cause rebooting of phones and should be done
carefully.
3. For a single NAT IP, NOE ALG support 255 phones. Use multiple NAT IPs to
support more than 255 phones.
