11.2.1 PC Board Descriptions

Description :
The Main board and I/O board are piggybacked together to form the 80207 FRU assembly. The
Main board contains the only intelligence within the SuperCart (excluding the docked Scan
Engine, which is the main processor of the
z.one
), in the form of a programmable FPGA device.
The FPGA device handles all data, video and signal I/O transfers within the SuperCart.
The I/O Board portion of this assembly performs analog filtering for the parallel printer port
signals (future use) and contains the pathway for the remote expose trigger signal, used by video
print peripheral devices.
The Main Board/IO Board FRU is a slide-in removable assembly, installed from the rear of the
SuperCart. The SuperCart’s rear I/O panel, where all external cable connections of video, audio,
printer, and network/serial data are done, is part of this assembly.
