Remove the UI Area Sheet Metal and set aside. 

 

Removal of the Backplane Assy 

1.

 

Remove six (6) Philips-head screws that connect the DC power (+5vdc Supply to J7, +12vdc 
(20A) Supply to J8, and +12vdc Monitor Supply to J9).  

NOTE:  Ensure you mark which the wire with the connector it was secured to so that they can be 

returned to the proper location during assembly.

  

 

                 

 

2.

 

Disconnect the UI cable assy and set aside. 

3.

 

Remove the three (3) Philips-head screws that secure the Backplane sheet metal cover to the base 
of the UI tray, and set the sheet metal aside. 

4.

 

Disconnect the Comp Video from J5 on the Backplane, and then remove the seven (7) Philips 
head screws securing the Backplane to the Cart. 

 

5.

 

Slide the Backplane away from the alignment pins (ensure that cables do not snag while doing 
this – the remaining cables will be disconnected once the Backplane is free and clear.)
