19.4  System Status LED Definitions 

19.4.1 SuperCart 

19.4.1.1   Rear I/O Panel 

 

The LEDs shown in this section (located on the Rear I/O Panel of the SuperCart) can be used to assist 
in troubleshooting problems related to the DC power supplies, and unsuccessful docking of the Scan 
Engine in the SuperCart. 

The top three LEDs (in the vertical column) are the DC power supply (+12V, +5V, +3.3V) status 
LEDs. All three of these LEDs should be illuminated at all times, if the SuperCart is connected to an 
AC power source and the circuit breaker (at the rear of the unit) is in the “on” position. 

NOTE:  The +12V power supply that is monitored by the LED on the Rear I/O panel is main 

12V (20A) power.  A se12V power supply (6 Amp) is used to provide 
power for the SuperCart’s (Barco) LCD Display. This 6A power supply does NOT 
have a status LED on the Rear I/O panel.   An internal LED (visible through the vents 
in the plastic case of the Barco LCD Display), can be used for determining the 
presence of this +12V power output from the SuperCart’s internal DC power supply.

+12V: 

The +12V Power LED should be illuminated any time main system power is applied to 
the SuperCart, indicating the presence of proper output from the +12V (20A) power 
supply.   

 

NOTE

:  The +12V (6A) power supply, used for powering the Barco LCD Display on 

the SuperCart, is NOT detected by status LED’s on the Rear I/O panel. 

SCAN LINK:  The “SCAN LINK” status LED (bottom LED of the vertical column) should begin to 

“flash”, within 5 seconds of the successful docking of the Scan Engine into the pocket 
of the SuperCart. This indicates the SuperCart has detected the presence of a fully 
docked Scan Engine and is in a waiting state, prepared to fully power on the 

z.one
