NOTE:  If it is determined that the software revision of the USB Memory Stick  is not the 

desired version for installation, and it is desired to abort (select the “NO” option)  

the install operation (or abort it for any other reason), press the “BACK”  

 key, 

then manually remove the USB Memory Stick..

The following initial software installation screen should appear, and be displayed for a 
few seconds on the LCD Display

A final “Welcome to Install” screen should appear

Press any button on the user interface of the Scan Engine to begin the software installation 
process. 

NOTE:   If a major change of firmware for the PIC device (on the Power Board in the 

Scan Engine) is included in the current software upgrade release, this will be 
“Part 1”, of a 2-Part installation process.  If not, the process will perform a 
single installation cycle, and steps 11-13 below will be skipped.

The in-process installing status screen should appear, with a bar graph indicating a 
dynamic percent completion status 

 

 

NOTE:  The main application install process should complete in approximately 5 minutes. 

13.

 

After file installation is completed, the system will run a brief install verification process.  
The following screen will appear during this verification
