19.3 Troubleshooting
19.3.1 Power-On
Problems
SuperCart (with docked Scan Engine) fails to power on
•
Ensure that the AC power is connected to a wall outlet.
•
Ensure that the circuit breaker (located in the lower-left of the rear panel) is in the “on” (up)
position.
•
Ensure that the “scanner link” indicator lamp (bottom green indicator) (located on the right-
hand side of the Rear I/O panel at the back of the SuperCart) is flashing after the Scan Engine
has been docked (prior to powering on the Scan Engine).
•
Ensure Barco LCD monitor display is powered on (verify illumination of internal LED’s,
through vent slots). If off, press/hold/release bottom rotary knob/button on Barco display, to
power on display.
•
If the LED is not flashing, remove (undock) the Scan Engine from the SuperCart pocket and
inspect for any damage to Scan Engine and SuperCart docking connectors; check for any
debris/obstructions in the pocket or connectors.
•
Re-dock the Scan Engine into the SuperCart pocket, ensuring proper alignment, and then
repeat the power-on procedure.
•
If the SuperCart still does not power on, remove the Scan Engine and attempt to operate it in
the stand-alone mode to determine if the problem is with the SuperCart or the Scan Engine.
•
If either component fails to start up after these steps, contact ZONARE Tech Support.
Scan Engine (undocked) fails to power on
•
Remove the battery from the Scan Engine, and then press the battery charge status button to
ensure that a charge of greater than 25% is available. If the battery charge is insufficient,
replace the battery or dock the Scan Engine in a powered-on SuperCart and allow time to
recharge the battery.
•
Disconnect the transducer from the Scan Engine (if attached), and then repeat the attempt at
powering on the unit.
•
Dock the Scan Engine in the SuperCart and attempt to power on the
z.one
. If the
z.one
powers
on, the problem is in the Scan Engine battery. Replace the battery.
•
If the Scan Engine still fails to power on, contact ZONARE Tech Support.
19.3.2 System Start-Up Problems
Scan Engine (undocked) fails to properly boot
