Required Tools/Equipment
•
19mm open-end wrench (thin head)
•
LocTite 242 (blue) thread locking compound
Removal of the Caster:
STEPS:
1.
Ensure the
z.one
is powered “OFF”
2.
Disconnect the main AC power cord from the rear of the miniCart.
3.
Fold the LCD display screen down to a horizontal position, for protection from moving during
tilting of
mini
Cart.
4.
Ensure the Swivel Lock is in the “Locked” position.
5.
Lock the brake mechanism on each front wheel to keep the
mini
Cart from rolling.
6.
On a soft surface (carpet, etc.) tilt the Cart backward, until it is horizontal, resting on the rear push
handle for support.
7.
Using the 19mm wrench, loosen the threaded stud that connects the Caster to the base of the
mini
Cart.
8.
Reverse the disassembly procedure, for installing the new Caster.
NOTE:
Applying LocTite 242 thread locking compound to the threads of the Caster mounting stud is
recommended
9.
Tilt the
mini
Cart back up onto its wheels, and release the brake mechanism.
10.
Verify smooth operation and pivoting of the Cart during all directional movements.
