Fold the LCD Display forward, to its down-most position, resting the screen surface on some
form of protective pad material

Remove the Torx screws securing each of the two plastic half-shell cosmetic covers, at the back
of the LCD Display

To remove each of the two plastic half-shell covers, place the head of the Torx driver into the
empty screw hole (inserted only the depth of the cover plastic), and carefully pry
upward/outward. This is being done to raise the cover sufficiently for the plastic locking tab (at
the outside edge of the cover) to clear the lip on the main display housing. Once each cover is
slid free, remove it from the back of the LCD display

After marking their location on the display housing (to enable correct assembly during re-
installation), cut all tie-wraps securing the cables to the back of the display housing
10.
Disconnect all four of the cables (+12V Power, S-Video, Composite video, SVGA/Serial
Control), at their attachment points on the back of the LCD Display. The SVGA cable requires
loosening of the two slotted-type retaining screws, prior to cable removal
