The SHARP optics assembly can be removed from the measurement case 
assembly. Refer to the following steps when a procedure requires lowering 
the partition panel (

Figure 7–4

).

Philips screwdriver 

Equipment Damage  

Some internal components can be damaged by small 

amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap 
must be worn while handling any internal component.

Turn the instrument OFF and unplug the power cord. 

2.

 

If the instrument is mounted in a rack, remove it from the rack. 

3.

 

Disconnect the electrical connector. 

4.

 

Unfasten the two captive hardware screws.
