Replace if necessary, move the sensor to a
new site, or use a sensor that tolerates more

Check sensor placement or cover sensor
with a dark or opaque material.
Sensor placement on an extremity
that has a blood pressure cuff,
arterial catheter or intravascular
line, or nail polish.
Check sensor placement.
Patient's condition.
Check patient.
Excessive patient movement.
If possible, keep patient still and use a
sensor that tolerates more motion.
Printer
Problem

Printer does not print.
Red Alarm light on the
printer is flashing.
Printer cover is open.
Open the plastic printer cover fully, ensure
that a short length of printer paper is outside
the monitor, and then close the cover so that
it clicks into place.
