58) Clamp the motor wire on the motor wire bracket A using a
tie-wrap band.
• If a new tie-wrap band is used, cut off the excess of the
band at 3 - 5 mm (0.1 - 0.2 in) from the fastener end.
59) Clamp the motor wire at the two points on the motor wire
bracket B using the harness band clips.
• If a new harness band clip is used, cut off the excess of
the band at 3 - 5 mm (0.1 - 0.2 in) from the fastener end.
60) Perform air bleeding (P. 14-33) and hydraulic pressure
inspection (P. 14-36) after assembly.
61) Apply thread locking agent (LOCTITE
®
271 or equivalent) to
the threads at the end of the piston rod.
62) Holding the piston rod with a wrench, tighten the upper
joint metal to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 44 N.m (4.5 kgf.m, 32 lbf.ft)
After tightening the upper joint metal to the specified
torque, check that the longer side between the end of the
upper joint metal and the piston rod is toward the power tilt
motor assembly as shown.
