SONET Transmit - POH
The Transmit POH screen contains the following options:
Function
Description
STS-<#> Added
Allows the user to enter the number of the specific STS
channel to set as the
foreground
(source) channel. The
default setting is 1.
Path and VT
Overhead Bytes
Allows the user to select any of the Path or VT Overhead
bytes to edit their hexadecimal values.
•
Path Overhead Bytes include: J1, B3, C2, G1, F2, H4,
Z3, Z4, and Z5.
•
VT Overhead Bytes include: V5, J2, Z6, and Z7.
VT Overhead Bytes only appear when a VT mapping is
selected.
The J1 and J2 bytes is controller by the J1 and J2 Trace
function, and the B3 and V5 bytes can be overwritten from

When Passthru mode is enabled, Pass/Intrude buttons are
available for each of the overhead bytes to allow for Intrusive
and non-intrusive passthru mode.
