LED Quick Status Area
MLD - LED Quick Status Area
The left side of the screen provides an at-a-glance view of the current protocol
processor's LEDs and Laser ON/Off button. The LEDs report incoming error and alarm
activity, current status, and event history to help narrow the focus if problems are
detected on the incoming signal and provide a starting point when trying to diagnose
problems.
This portion of the screen allows you to quickly scan and target potential problem areas.
The
LED Quick Status Area
contains the following areas:
•
Laser On/Off button:
Enables you to turn the laser on and off. (only for optical
interfaces)
•
TX:
Displays the transmit interface configuration, such as rate, wavelength,
framing, and/or duplex depending on the specific protocol processor
If no interface is selected, then "Not Assigned" will be displayed.
If a laser module is not inserted, then "No Laser" will be displayed.
•
RX:
Displays the received optical power in dBm. This status indicator will flash
when one or more received Optical Lanes' power level exceeds the laser
module's Power Warm or Power Hot thresholds.
