The Restart button may need to be selected immediately after
setting up a new OTUCn group, to clear any artificial error or alarm
bursts recorded during the setup's stabilization period.
Only the OTUCn group's controlling Slice (Slice #1) displays the
Restart button. If the Restart button in the Common Function Button
row is pressed for any OTN port (Slice) in the OTUCn group, not just
Slice #1, then this too will restart the test for the entire OTUCn group.
Select The Select button becomes enabled with one or more OTN Ports
have been selected, from the New OTUCn Selection buttons, to
create a new OTUCn group.
•
If only one OTN Port has been selected, then the Select button
will create an OTUC1 group for just that port.
•
If two or more OTN Ports have been selected, then the Select
button will create an OTUCn group for all ports selected.
Clear The Clear button deselects all OTN ports that were selected with the
New OTUCn Selection buttons, in case an unintentional OTN Port
was selected by mistake, allowing the user to reselect the intended
OTN Ports for a new OTUCn group.
Exit The Exit button closes the OTUCn Instances configuration window.
The OTUCn Config button can also be used to access the OTUCn Instances menu,
which becomes enabled on any OTN tab that is currently a member of an OTUCn
group.
OTUCn Port/Slice Specific Settings and Results
The OTN and MLD specific settings and results for each slice in an OTUCn group are
configured and monitored from the port's OTN and MLD tabs.
