The
Chassis Clock
setting is used to configure the timing source for all test ports in the
MPA chassis to the specified External-clock or to the Internal-clock, with various clock-
out options. Also, each test port in the chassis can independently use a
recovered/looped timing mode.
By default, the transmitted signals default to an
Internal
clock with no output.
To set the chassis clock:
1. Connect an External clock reference to either the SCM-
210’s
RJ-48
or
SMA
Clock In/Out Ports.
2.
Remotely log into to the MPA’s IP Address with the Remote Client software.
3. Select the
System
tab and choose
Misc
.
4. Select
Chassis
Clock
. The Chassis Clock dialog box appears.
5. Select one of the following
External
or
Internal
clock reference options.
