Ramp Mode Settings
The following settings become enabled when a Ramp rate is
selected:
•
Ramp Step
: This is the size of the % Bandwidth or Mbps
rate that each step (up and down) should change by.
•
Ramp Floor
: This is the minimum % Bandwidth or Mbps
rate that the stream will step down to.
•
Ramp Duration
: This is the number of Seconds (1 to 999)
that each step (up and down) will transmit for.
How to use the Ramp Mode for Ethernet Traffic
for information on Ramp mode testing.
Select MPLS/VLAN
Tagging
Enables either VLAN, MPLS, or No Tagging.
When testing VLAN or MPLS, up to 4 stacked tags can be
enabled by selecting the checkbox for the next tag. Each tag
adds 4 bytes to the Packet's header fields.
MPLS Label
Configures the MPLS Label value. The default value is 0x1234,
but the menu lets you enter any 2-byte User Defined HEX value.
MPLS Tagging must be enabled to use this parameter
MPLS TC
Configures the MPLS TC (Traffic Class) level. This is the frame's
priority level and is a 3-bit field ranging from the default value of 0
(best effort) to 7 (highest priority).
MPLS Tagging must be enabled to use this parameter.
MPLS S(Bottom)
Configures the MPLS Bottom of Stack value. This is a 1-bit
setting that should remain set to the default value of 0, for
Ethernet networks.
MPLS Tagging must be enabled to use this parameter.
MPLS TTL
Assigns a MPLS TTL (Time To Live) value. This is a decimal
setting ranging from 0 to 255.
