K2 Bits 6-8 (Linear Mode)
This function edits the 6th, 7th, and 8th bits of the K2 byte. These bits indicate if a FERF
or FEBE occurs at the line level. The current value displays in the User Setup column of
the APS Commands function.
Options Description
(000) Unused Not used, Bit pattern 000
(001) Unused Not used, Bit pattern 001
(010) Unused Not used, Bit pattern 010
(100) Unused Not used, Bit pattern 100
(100) Uni-direct Provisioned for Unidirectional switching, Bit
pattern 10
(101) Bi-direct Provisioned for Bidirectional switching, Bit
pattern 101
(110) MS-RDI /
RDI-L Multiplex Section Remote Defect Indicator, Bit
pattern 110
(111) MS-AIS /
AIS-L Multiplex Section Alarm Indication Signal, Bit
pattern 111. This is the Transmit Illegal button
setting.
K1 Full Byte (Ring Mode)
This function configures the bit pattern of the K1 byte using either predefined or user
defined settings by individually setting the eight bits of the K1 byte using the touch
screen keypad.
The following options are available:
Options Description
Set to 00000000 Configures the K1 byte to 00000000 bit pattern.
Default Configures the K1 byte to 10101010 bit pattern.
