LOM
Loss of Multiframe alignment (H4).
LOM-V
Loss of Multiframe alignment - Virtual Tributary.
Looped (Signal Timing)
A method of synchronizing a circuit by taking a synchronizing clock signal from
incoming digital pulses.
LOP-P
Loss of STS pointer.
LOP-V
Loss of VT pointer.
LOSS
Loss of Signal Seconds.
Loss of Pointer (LOP)
An alarm signal generated when no valid pointer is received in eight consecutive
frames, or when eight consecutive New Data Flags are received.
Loss of Signal (LOS)
An alarm signal generated when the data signal has an all zeros pattern lasting 55
microseconds or longer.

P (LPOH)
For SDH, Lower-Order Path. This is comparable to a VT Path in SONET for VC-11, VC-
12, and VC-2.
